What are the differences between the Air Jordan 1 “Bulls” releasing on May 30th and the Air Jordan 1 “Alternate” (or 1.5) supposedly in the works? Glad you asked. At a glance both of these inaugural Air Jordans appear to be mirror images of one another, and Michael Jordan did wear both during his 1984-85 rookie season. Those are the similarities, but that’s where the differences come into play.
The first big difference is the midsole/outsole – very similar silhouettes but the layout and traction patterns don’t jive. Then there’s the tongue tags – both Nike Air but sort of inversions of each other. The Wings logos also differ – familiar “Air Jordan” vs the 1.5’s “Nike.” Which version do you prefer?
