The Air Jordan 1 Retro ’99 will make its debut on July 9th, 2014, on the weekend after the Air Jordan 14 “Thunder” hits for Independence Day. And while this “Vibrant Yellow” look isn’t necessarily the truest reference to that Air Jordan 14, but with a cool grey upper, almost pastelle looking vibrant yellow and black alternating throughout the model, it definitely makes for an interesting look. The sneaker gets a black base while the side panels (which feature perforations to mimic Mike’s last championship wear) get a contrasting cool grey. Add in finishes of that yellow for an eye-catching addition and this pair would be a great alternate to those who missed out on the 14 release.
