Today isn’t necessarily the best of days if you’re Craig Ehlo. In fact, any time highlight footage replays of Michael Jordan’s first ever playoff buzzer beater (in which it looks like an Air Jordan IV “Bred” is almost kicking Ehlo in the head in celebration post shot) has to instill nausea in the former Cavalier guard’s stomach. Today is the 25th anniversary of Mike’s incredible shot that put the Cavs away in 5 games. On this day 25 years ago, the Bulls were down to a hungry Cleveland squad that looked to fight back from a 3-1 deficit to force a game 6, but Mike had other plans. The shot gave the Bulls a 101-100 victory and allowed them to move on to the Knicks, and while MJ wouldn’t win his first championship until 2 years later, the highlight serves as a reminder of the close games and struggle on the way to becoming the best player to ever lace a pair up.
