Of Michael Jordan’s numerous endorsements during his playing days, one of the strangest collaborations has to be the futuristic looking Oakley ‘Mars’ Sunglasses. Even the ads enamored people that walked by them with His Airness in a brown fedora and turtleneck. It personified how strange 1997 was in terms of product design and the need to look ahead to the approaching millennium while trying to embrace the past. Today’s vintage post is a rare original pair in the same color scheme that were featured in the original Oakley ad. Head to the gallery to check them out and pick them up today from calibre33 on eBay.
