It’s hard to believe that it was a little over a decade ago when Jordan Brand athlete Carmelo Anthony signed with the Denver Nuggets in the historic 2003 NBA Draft. And while Denver fans are still bitter about his departure, there’s no denying that Melo had an amazing rookie season, even debatably better than current NBA champ LeBron James, having led the Nuggets (tied for the worst record in the league a year prior) to a Western Conference playoff birth. Carmelo did so wearing the Jordan Melo 1.5 which may be set for a return later this year in a colorway straight out of Chicago, featuring a black upper with white ankle support similar to that of the Air Jordan 1. Hit the jump for more images and let us know if you’d grab a pair of the Jordan Melo 1.5 Retro.
