Back when the WNBA launched in 1997 Jordan Brand decided to get in on the ground floor as women’s basketball was propelled to the national spotlight, dropping a sneaker exclusive to the ladies dubbed simply ‘Womens Air Jordan’ (or ‘Girls’ here on this youth size). The silhouette, pictured above, borrows heavily from the Air Jordan XIII of that year utilizing a dimpled upper, solid toe cap, and a bit of the same podular look for the outsole. Click through for some more shots of this rare vintage find and check out your chances to own the first women’s Air Jordan model ever from sneakah_king on eBay.
