Were you with us yesterday when we kicked off ‘Cool Grey’ week in our The Daily Jordan series? Check back on that real quick if you missed out, then bask in the glory of perhaps the most overlooked ‘Cool Grey’ sneaker from the Air Jordan lineup pictured here, the Air Jordan IX ‘Cool Grey’. Dropping about a year and a half after the debut of the colorway on the XI, this silhouette managed to stay truer to the original blocking than any subsequent releases. You’ll notice the color combo listed on the box is the exact same, with no bits of pop thrown in to mess with the equation. Even the material mimicked its predecessor with the patent leather mudguard, a rare choice for the Air Jordan IX.
