In the United States, February is recognized as Black History Month – a time to look back at African-American pioneers who helped make the country what it is today. Nike contributed to the month long celebration by releasing a Black History Month pack in February of 2011, which included an Air Jordan III. The Air Jordan III ‘BHM’ came in a colorway of Black/Gold and featured a leather mudguard that listed some of Michael Jordan’s achievements – specifically his victory in the 1987 Slam Dunk Contest. This special edition AJ III retailed for $175 and today commands up to $350 on the resale market, which reflects the special edition nature of this release. Take another look at the Air Jordan III ‘Black History Month’ and if you have these in your collection let us know. Images via Kixclusive.
