The Jordan Son of Mars currently has no release date, but having seen the ‘Olympic’ and ‘Varsity Purple’ editions of the shoe, we can determine that it is coming sooner rather than later. The Son of Mars follows up the Jordan Spiz’ike as Spike Lee influenced sneakers from Jordan Brand. These latest images give us a look at how Spike Lee influenced these really are. The strap from the XX features lingo and phrases that might be familiar to those who are fans of Spike’s work. For example, we see Forty Acres which is for his production studio, 40 Acres and a Mule as well as “Is it the shoes?”, a catchphrase said by Mars Blackmon.
