The Air Jordan 2.0 was Jordan Brand’s attempt to modernize a classic model and make it suitable for on court play. With the success of the 2.0 so far, JB plans to apply the x.0 treatment to the Air Jordan VIII. Although many Jordan fans don’t like to see signature models receive the fusion treatment, Jordan Brand is looking to make it possible to play in classic models. The Air Jordan 8.0’s goal is to strip down the bulkiness of the original AJ VIII and replace it with cushioning technology and to make it an overall lighter performance shoe. The ‘Aqua’ colorway of the Air Jordan VIII will be used on the first Air Jordan 8.0 which releases in January 2012 with the second colorway following in March. Check out the Air Jordan 8.0 after the jump and let us know what you think about Jordan Brand’s new twist on a classic. via SneakerNews.
