Carmelo Anthony was a part of the ‘Redeem Team’, the nickname given to the team that brought back the gold medal for the United States at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. He was an integral part of their run to the gold with 11.5 points per game off of the bench. Like some of his teammates, he also had his own PE designed for the games. Anthony’s Air Jordan V Olympic player exclusive is simple with the shoe being mostly white with hints of midnight navy on the translucent outsole and inner sock liner.  The inner tongue features 8/8/2008, the date that marked the start of the Olympics, in place of the ‘Air Jordan’ usually seen on Air Jordan Vs. Additionally, the American flag is stitched on the inner tongue along with the USA Basketball logo on the insole. This player exclusive is one of the rarer PEs out there so this is a must have for Jordan aficionados out there. Check out the additional images and the auction from bugginoutboy on eBay.
