Though this Air Jordan 11 Low IE was dubbed the “Referee” due to its nearly nondescript appearance, the look didn’t officially have its roots in the refereeing game. It actually began as a sample in 1996 that just didn’t get made for the masses. Still, MJ could’ve definitely worn these during the ’96 Playoffs with the blackout leather and nubuck treatment, along with the Chicago Bulls red flair.
