After 23 bitter Chicago winters, Michael Jordan is finally indoors. Dubbed “The Spirit,” the 12-foot tall bronze statue of Jordan that has decorated Gate 4 of the United Center has been moved inside the Chicago Bulls’ recently opened five-story atrium nearby. The space includes a box office, food options, space for team personnel, and will house team stores for the Bulls and Chicago Blackhawks. Jordan’s statue sits in the east wing of the atrium, illuminated behind glass partitions for fans to observe up close.
