Michael Jordan and Patrick Ewing battled as rivals during their college days, as the University of North Carolina and Georgetown University squared off for the 1982 NCAA championship. Though Jordan’s game-winning jumper sealed UNC’s win, it didn’t hold Ewing back, who would go on to become the first pick in the 1985 NBA Draft. Jordan Brand created a Air Jordan 1 KO “Rival Pack” in 2014 to honor the two Hall of Famers – one pair in UNC’s Carolina blue and white, the other in G-town’s blue and grey, which mimicked the Nike Terminators that Ewing and the Hoyas helped make famous.
