Every colorway of every sneaker Michael Jordan wore throughout his otherworldly career essentially served as his player exclusives. It’s a sharp contrast from today where signature athletes switch out personalized sneakers seemingly game to game, each brushed with specially coded colorways, personal logos, even their own Sharpie writing.
Air Jordan 6 “Alternate” continues Jordan Brand’s exploration of the idea of MJ exclusives extra to the original colorways. Like Air Jordan 5 “Pre-Grape” of 2015, the Alternate 6 appears to be a Tinker Hatfield creation that was in the running for production in 1991, yet was left out in favor of another – perhaps the White/Infrared or Off White/Maroon. Both shoe appear connected here, mixing the “Hare Jordan” like silver and white combo with maroon-ish trim.
How would these have looked on MJ back in ’91? Check the official photos of the grade school version below and stay tuned to our Air Jordan Release Dates to stay current.
