If these early photos are any indication, the Jordan Melo M13 is sharply steering Carmelo Anthony’s signature sneaker line into a new direction. Gone are the extensive overlays and TPU heel counters of recent Melo signatures, replaced by a minimalist pattern-based upper that seems to salute the Nike Zoom Kobe 3. Like that 2007-08 Kobe flagship, the upper design continues through to the midsole and outsole, which houses Zoom Air cushioning and a shank for stability and energy return.
The overall efficient vibe appears tuned to Carmelo Anthony’s specialized game. No longer the slasher to the rim as he was at the beginning of his career, Anthony picks his spots in the New York Knicks offense. The M13’s diamond plate appearance matches that precise approach.
