One of the rarest Air Jordans in existence will soon find a new home.
Kris Arnold is putting his sample 1985 Air Jordan 1 “Black Toes” up for auction, with proceeds benefitting Best Buddies International, a non-profit that helps build “one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).”
The shoe remains in highly collectible condition, with a date stamp of November 14, 1984 on the inside collar, and original slim shape that marked many Nike sneakers throughout the 1980s.
Arnold obtained the item during his stint with ProServ, the sports management firm helmed by Michael Jordan’s agent, David Falk.
