While not an overt hybrid like the Dub Zero or Spiz’ike, the Air Jordan 1 Retro ’93 definitely combines elements from two different Js. With Air Jordan 1 as the canvas, design cues from the Air Jordan 8 “Playoffs” edition that Michael Jordan wore to win his third NBA title are all over. Black nubuck, carpet tongue patches, funky color print lining and molded heel detailing replicate the AJ8’s baroque style to the letter. No cross-straps, however – probably to bulky for the AJ1’s slim profile.
