Didn’t sell. In fact they didn’t move. They sat at retail, languished on discount and slowly, like water through a clogged drain, disappeared. Air Jordan 3 “Mocha” released 15 years ago today on September 15, 2001 for $99.99. The look was one of Jordan Brand’s early “retro+” colorways, sneakers keyed more for chilling than for balling. There still hasn’t been another colorway like it, with simple white and brown leather teaming up with silver accents. Would these be popular now if re-released? You can still find deadstock pairs on eBay, though they may not be rockable.
