Air Jordan 2 “Melo” – or White/Columbia Blue-Varsity Maize – dropped on April 24, 2004 alongside the Black/Chrome edition. This clean look served as one of Carmelo Anthony’s retro player exclusives during his 2004 rookie season with the Denver Nuggets. Melo is a fan of the old school Jordans so his 2’s must’ve helped get the job done. He averaged 21 points and six rebounds in 03-04, helped Denver improve by 26 wins, and led the team into the playoffs for the first time in nine years. Jordan Brand released Chris Paul’s “Hornets” Air Jordan 13 PEs, is it time to bring the Melo 2s back? In the meantime, keep an eye on Stadium Goods for new pairs.
