Air Jordan 22 “Varsity Red” marked the primary home colorway for the flagship line in 2006. Penned by D’Wayne Edwards, who also created Air Jordan 21 and founded PENSOLE Footwear Design Academy, AJ22 is said to be inspired by the F-22 Raptor fighter aircraft – angular lines, vents, and clean execution. While AJ22 returned in 2008 for the 1/22 Countdown Pack, it’s still on the TBR (to be retroed) list. Find original pairs popping up at Stadium Goods.
