Air Jordan 1 is up for another logo refresh.
Don’t worry, it’s not a permanent switch, merely another tweak to the timeless classic. Of immediate attention, the block lettered “Air Jordan” returns from its “Rare Air” issues, taking over for the Wings logo that typically sits on the lateral ankle.
But that’s not really news per se. Instead, it’s the Nike Air stitching on the heel catching our attention. Jordan Brand has put the Jumpman back there for a handful of releases over the years, even stamping “X” for the 2011 “Banned” release. Never Nike Air, which first appeared on the heel of Air Jordan 3 in 1988 and continued through 1991 with Air Jordan 6.
