Jordan Brand tried out the Air Jordan 1 Patent in 2003, mixing the classic shoe with the shiny finish made famous eight years earlier with Air Jordan 11. It was a leap. One that sneaker fans didn’t embrace immediately, leaving various colorways to sit for a bit until some chances were taken on discounted pairs. How would this Swooshless version have fared? It never went past the sample stage, of course, and likely with good reason. Tough to take away the Swoosh – a huge design feature – from AJ1. Though Jordan Brand has revisited the idea with this year’s Swooshless 1 Lows. Find the sample now at Stadium Goods, and let us know your thoughts on this rare look.
