Michael Jordan’s turn with the Dream Team during the 1992 Olympics will always be remembered as historic. The shoe he wore throughout the games, however, might be looked at with a comparative eye thanks to the Air Jordan 7 “Olympic Alternate” releasing August 6th. Nike hasn’t yet divulged the official story, but so far the colorway appears to be one of the possibilities for the AJ7 Olympic shoe that didn’t make the final cut. Perhaps its filled-in look was too much of a trend following the similarly styled Air Jordan 6 “Carmine” and Air Jordan 7 “Bordeaux” releases. The Nike Air on the insoles certainly feels like a hint towards OG origins. The real question is – should this have been on Mike’s feet in Barcelona, or was Tinker Hatfield right to go with these? Get the official images of the Air Jordan 7 “Olympic Alternate” below and let us know which colorway you think is best.
