In 1989, Michael Jordan started switching to black sneakers for the playoffs – a move he continued to make throughout the rest of his career. Air Jordan 7 in Black/True Red became one of the more famous versions of this business-like approach, pairing black Durabuck with red and purple accents. It’s the shoe MJ wore during the Chicago Bulls’ 1992 run to their second consecutive title. Jordan Brand retroed this look in 2002 and in 2012 – time for another? You can still find new pairs of the ’12 edition now at Stadium Goods.
