Michael Jordan’s game-worn sneakers have brought in tidy sums but barbecue sauce?
A gallon jug of the McDonald’s condiment from 1992 just sold on eBay for $9,995. It was created as an ingredient for the McJordan, a promotional sandwich that was only offered regionally in the early ’90s.
The seller is Mort Bank, a former McDonald’s owner-operator from North Dakota, who has an extensive McDonald’s memorabilia collection and decided to see what the rare item would sell for.
For those interested in re-creating the McJordan for Fourth of July festivities, the ingredient list includes a quarter pound beef patty, cheese, smoked bacon, (fresh) barbecue sauce, onions, pickles, and mustard.
