Air Jordan 8 “Cigar & Champagne” – or Championship Pack, officially – pays tribute to Michael Jordan’s third NBA championship with refined materials and classic celebratory colors. Confetti detailing recalls the championship parades that were commonplace for the 1990s Chicago Bulls, while metallic gold detailing evokes trophy gold. Jordan Brand even included a bit of an easter egg for fans underneath the midfoot straps, each set boasting “World Champions Again And Again” to reinforce the message of MJ’s greatness. After all, the Jordan-led Bulls of 1991-93 marked the first three-peat NBA title run since the Boston Celtics of the late ’60s. And MJ relished the accomplishment since Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, the torch bearers of basketball when Jordan arrived in 1984, never achieved it.
