With the return of Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” this Saturday, Shop HNY of White Plains, New York decided to commemorate the release and the historic moment with a massive storefront display. Forty half pairs of the iconic black and red sneaker fill one side, while a blown-up photo of MJ catching a breather during the game and announcement of the pending on-sale fill the other.
Michael Jordan’s signature footwear has always been defined in part by the highlights he created in them on-court. Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals provided one of those pinnacles, with Jordan overcoming food poisoning to score 38 points, tip the series 3-2 to the Bulls and forever etch his heroics into hoops history. All done in the Flu Game 12.
Find photos and a short video of the display below. Shop HNY will be one of the select Jordan retailers carrying the Flu Games this Saturday.
