Air Jordan XV is set to appear on shelves in 2017. The love-it-or-hate-it sneaker, designed by Tinker Hatfield, is inspired by the rocket-powered X-15 experimental aircraft – and a bit of MJ with the protruding tongue. The public didn’t seem to think much of it when it first released in 2000, and without Michael Jordan – who always had a knack for making any sneaker look good on the court – the XV essentially floundered. But old things become new again, and over 15 years later the XV is appreciated by many for its daring looks. There’s never been a general release of the “Bred” colorway seen here, so a wide swath of fans and a new generation will have access to it next spring. Stay tuned for more details and let us know what you think about this forgotten Air Jordan coming back.
