2016 marks 20 years since Air Jordan 12 debuted, the second landmark sneaker in Michael Jordan’s comeback run with the Chicago Bulls. It was the shoe MJ wore throughout the 1996-97 season and made famous during the ’97 NBA Finals with the “Flu Game” performance.
In step with that key history, Jordan Brand has the 12 dialed up this month in an inspiration dubbed “The Master” – modeled after a black and white Jordan poster from that period. The colorway looks right out of the OVO world with a no-nonsense mix of black leather with white and gold touches.
We’ll see if they receive the same hyped reception on release day, February 27th. Sticker price is standard retro fare at $190. Find the official photos below and stay tuned for more updates.
