You might remember that the original Air Jordan 10 “Steel” featured a couple extra pieces of leather on the toe. According to Tinker Hatfield, there was a lack of communication during the design process with Michael Jordan, who was in the middle of his baseball dreams. So, Tinker completed the design on his own and the shoe went into production. No prob, right? Well, MJ liked clean toes on his sneakers so an adjustment had to be made. Needless to say, the rest of the Air Jordan 10 colorways were made without the extra leather.
