Go In Depth With Air Jordan XXX

With the 30th anniversary flagship Air Jordan shoe well in sight for years, you’d think the project was the result of at least a decade of planning. Only it was more like one year. In February 2015, Michael Jordan asked longtime Jordan Brand creative Tinker Hatfield to helm the XXX, sending Hatfield into overdrive to create just the right shoe, with a little help from a photo of Jordan’s iconic 1988 free-throw line dunk. From there, Hatfield crafted the silhouette into “Mr. Cosmos,” a celestial abstract on Jordan’s timeless, otherworldly talent.

You’ll be able to pick up your pair of Air Jordan XXXs on February 12 for $200.
