The All-Star colorway that never was. Back in 1997, Air Jordan 12 “Obsidian” was prime and ready to go for Michael Jordan’s All-Star Game appearance in Cleveland. Only, he decided to go with the black and white “Playoffs” colorway instead. And it was probably the right decision, as MJ racked up a triple double – 14 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists – and the East prevailed, 132-120. The shoe finally got a long-awaited retro true to the original in 2012. You can catch plenty of pairs now via eBay.
