Of all the great sneakers Michael Jordan wore during his comeback 2001-02 NBA season – including killers like Air Jordan 16 Ginger, Air Jordan 11 Cool Grey, and Air Jordan 17 Low Lightning – perhaps his greatest lace-up was the Air Jordan 3 True Blue.

And Rip Hamilton just so happens to have a pair of them – broken-in and signed by number 23 himself.

Hamilton shared a photo of the grail collector’s item on Instagram, relating that he leveraged his 30-point performance in a Wizards victory to coax MJ out of the kicks.

With a backstory like that, it’s no surprise Hamilton counts them as “the best pair of sneakers in my collection.”
