Approve or disapprove, Jordan Brand is steadily adding to a casual sneaker lineup that has exploded in the last calendar year. Releases like the Future and Eclipse got the ball rolling, then momentum sped up considerably with the Westbrook 0 and Jasmine over the summer. Enter the Air Jordan Spike Forty, styled along the lines of those last two with a majority mesh upper, some synthetic that looks like diamond metal plating, and Mars Blackmon lace ornaments. Then there’s the inclusion of Nike Air branding which, after years of extraordinarily limited use, the brand is letting fly on this non-OG sneaker. No official introduction for the Spike Forty just yet, but watch for colorways like the “Fire Red” edition hitting independents in the next couple of weeks.
