Mitchell & Ness continues its Michael Jordan commemorative jersey collection this year with one of the top apparel pieces in sports history – the Michael Jordan “72-10” jersey.
The brand has carefully assembled the materials, styling, and details used on the original jersey that Jordan wore throughout the Chicago Bulls’ title-clinching 1996 Finals, which provided the ultimate cap to the team’s landmark 72-10 regular season record.
It was also a banner season for Jordan as an individual talent, climbing back to the peak of his basketball powers in his first full season post-retirement, logging the stretch in the acclaimed Air Jordan XI, and racking up his eighth NBA scoring title to go along with MVP awards for the All-Star Game, Regular Season, and Finals.
During the 72 wins and 10 losses, Jordan started all 82 games, and put up averages of 30.4 points, 6.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 2.2 steals before leading the Bulls to a 15-3 postseason record.
The “72-10” jersey will release at the Mitchell & Ness flagship store in Philadelphia, as well as other select authorized retailers, on Thursday, October 15th. Retail is $300.
