With the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Royal” releasing tomorrow, we thought it would be interesting parallel to remember the very un-OG Air Jordan 1 Strap Low. Just a couple of years ago, Jordan Brand released various colorways of the AJ1 Low with collars wrapped in Velcro-laden thin strap. It remains unclear which sneaker buyer segment, if any, requested this added feature, though the idea of slipping your foot into some Jordans, cinching the strap and heading out the door does possess a smidge of merit. Like the Air Jordan XVIII Mule, the AJ1 Strap Low will endure as one of Jordan Brand’s great time capsule curiosities. You should have no trouble rummaging through eBay to find your favorite these days.
