Michael Jordan’s 1993 NBA All-Star Game sneaker is slated to return November 27, but we rewind to its very first retro in 2007 in this Daily Jordan. The Aqua 8 essentially picked up where the Grape 5 left off in 1990, this time putting the purple and teal look against a black nubuck upper instead of white leather. MJ was top All-Star vote getter in ’93 with 1,035,824 and scored a game-high 30 points in his Aquas, but the contest was played in Salt Lake City. You can guess which two players took “co-MVP.” The Aquas sold out quickly on September 22, 2007, and great chance that’ll be the case this fall. More photos of the Aqua 8 below, and plenty of this sneaker now on eBay.
