Sneaker Con and Staple Design have joined forces, resulting in three one-of-one “Pigeon” designs – Air Jordan 3, Air Jordan 5, and Nike SB Dunk – that will directly benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Jeff Staple’s 2005 Nike SB Dunk Low “Pigeon” landmarked a paradigm shift in sneaker culture, one that can be seen today in thousands and thousands of Sneaker Con fans whose unrivaled passion for kicks has helped grow and diversify that culture.
Sneaker customization has also played a major role in that expansion, attracting more and more talented designers to create unique product for an ever-increasing sophisticated base. Three of these designers were chosen for the Sneaker Con x Staple Design collaboration, each tasked to dream up a custom sneaker based on the Staple Pigeon concept.
Dez Customz, Sab One, and Kreative Custom Kicks have provided their take with one-of-one designs, one of which will be selected by Jeff Staple as most representative of the Staple Pigeon concept. The artist of that shoe will then be commissioned to create a pair for a Make-A-Wish Foundation child. The original three designs will be auctioned on eBay, all proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
