Jordan Brand Opening The Vault Again For Nike Air

A fast and furious follow-up to yesterday’s inaugural Air Jordan 6 “Maroon” photoscape. The story here is two-pronged – the last original AJ6 colorway is finally releasing almost 25 years after it first hit shelves, and Jordan Brand has decided that this will be the first AJ6 since the 2000 Infrareds to feature Nike Air branding on the heel. And it doesn’t stop there. The famous wordmark will also be printed on the insoles, just like the ’91s.

At a glance the all-leather upper looks to carry an off-white hue, another key OG detail. And you’ll notice they canned the blue tinted soles and went back to a more of a standard clear. Though it’s early and changes technically could still take place, these have to be exciting encouragements for many older sneaker fans looking to re-live the shoe and younger enthusiasts looking to sample another Air Jordan rarity.
