In what promises to the hottest Air Jordan XI release since the “Bred” 11 in 2012, the “72-10” brings a fresh yet familiar take on the shoe Michael Jordan wore throughout 1995 and 1996 en route to his fourth NBA title. What can you expect for this Holiday 2015 drop? A Space Jam-like black upper – tumbled leather. nubuck, and translucent patent – paired with red touches, and milky white clear soles, for starters.
This is classic Bulls stuff, a colorway that MJ easily could’ve worn throughout the ’96 playoffs. And the details are flipped – red checkered carbon fiber (which we haven’t seen in forever), embossed Jumpman logos instead of stitched, and a stitched “23” script at the heel collar instead of embossed. We’re still waiting to see what Jordan Brand has cooked up as far as packaging but it’s a good bet they’ll stick with a pull-out box like that of past XI releases. We’re a ways off from the December 19th release date – and the inevitable Internet bum rush – but relax for now and enjoy the pics. More coverage to come.
