While Air Jordan 14’s “Last Shot” colorway stands as the definitive look – and rightly so due to Michael Jordan’s 1998 NBA Finals Game 6 heroics in the shoe – Jordan Brand dropped much more heat for the 14 throughout 1999. Like the retroactively nicknamed “Laney” that first hit shelves in June ’99. Definitely a model example of designer Tinker Hatfield’s overt use of color as a design element through his late ’90s work. And of course, like many of his shoes before and since, the 14 and 14 Low have become timeless favorites. You’ll be able to revisit the Laney 14 Low when it hits stores on October 3rd for $170.
