If this photo hint tells us anything, it’s that the Air Jordan 4 may be queuing up for a navy/yelllow colorway sometime in the very near future. Reading color combos is a bit like deciphering code; figuring out what it means beneath the surface. With Jordan Brand, a navy/yellow colorway traditionally has meant something Marquette University-related, less as a rule and more as a successful look. (Think along the lines of Laney releases.)
Apart from the possibility of this navy leather option, perhaps the real story is the possibility that the OG style lace ports could return to the Jordan 4. Sometime after the 2006 Jordan 4 Fire Red and Military Blue releases, Jordan Brand curiously omitted the flared base from the front ports, leaving subsequent 4 drops looking just a bit unfinished. So, OG fans, feel good about the OG look hopefully returning. With this and “Liquid Metal” 4s circulating right now, the curiosity about what Jordan Brand may have in store should be ramping up. We’ll keep an eye on further developments for this colorway and in the meantime, drop your thoughts on where you see upcoming Air Jordan 4 retros going colorway-wise.
