Not quite a hybrid in the sense of the Dub Zero or Spiz’ike, the Jordan 6-17-23 released on January 8, 2011 for $145 retail as a new interpretation of the Air Jordan 6 “Carmine.” This Black/Carmine-White colorway mixes the feel of the AJ6 with some appointments from Air Jordan XVII like the music notes along the tongue, faux lace shroud anchors, and midsole cladding. So, combining the 6 and 17, you get Jordan’s jersey number 23, hence the shoe’s name.
Jordan Brand even brought back the 6-17-23 in Infrared, Gym Red and Dark Concord options for spring/summer 2014 (still available at retail, by the way). Pairs of the 6-17-23 “Carmine” are available in almost every condition these days. including this deadstock pair from eBay seller 909arfa.
