Time for another check-in from the lost world of Air Jordan samples with an “Alternate 89” Air Jordan 4.
What does that mean? We’ll leave that for your imagination to work on but we do know this is a sample that likes a lot of tumbled leather and red trim, almost like a what-if take on the Air Jordan 4 “Fire Red.” At a glance, this one has the look of a theme shoe like the Air Jordan 1 “Shattered Backboard” or a sort of lifestyle colorway. And it seems like it came out of a batch of 1999 AJ4 retros if the fit and finish are any indication. Perhaps it’s a variation on Carmelo Anthony’s AJ4 PE.
We’ll keep an eye on this one and report back any new developments. What do you think this white and red sample is all about?
