While we know Suns swingman P.J. Tucker keeps a mean sneaker collection at the ready, including a range of Nike Basketball and vintage Air Jordan, you can never pin his sneaker tastes down. He’s in Kobe 9 one night, Foamposite One the next. In his latest game he flipped a truly rare sneaker on us – the Air Jordan 13 Low “Navy” from 1998. Seeing the shoes again in any setting is a brow-raiser but anyone playing in them with 17 years of patina is a bona fide miracle. Play in them he did, but not very well, adding only three points on 1-11 shooting as the Kings eased past the Suns 108-99. Big loss for Phoenix, a team on the rise just year ago and now finding themselves fading from the NBA Western Conference playoff picture three games back of the number eight seed.
But who cares, right? We’re here for the Jordans, and there’s plenty to see in today’s NBA Jordans Daily installment. Look for P.J.’s 13 Lows, Chris Paul switching over the CP3.VIII AE, James Johnson unearthing his own gold in the XIX SE from ’04, Isaiah Thomas returning in XX “Lasers,” and plenty more ahead…
