The Jordan sneaker scene is missing one of its key soldiers in 76ers swingman Tony Wroten, but the Sixers are still keeping him around via Instagram with photos of his kicks. Just a bit in jest.
The highlight is a photo of Wroten driving very near a sideline, with an NBA referee keeping very close watch of Wroten’s feet clad in Air Jordan 9. But is it the shoes, or just making sure an out-of-bounds violation hasn’t occured? We know it’s the latter, of course, as do the Sixers. Just good for a chuckle. And they even included a close-up of Tony’s Air Jordan 6 “Sport Blue.”
Wroten, currently recovering from surgery to repair his partially torn right ACL, hasn’t played since January 13. Fair to say his teammates have missed every tick of his 16.9 points per game average. Also fair to say Philly tanking mastermind general manager Sam Hinkie hasn’t missed them.
