Earlier in the year, Mitchell & Ness announced that it planned to release a limited edition run of four different Michael Jordan throwback jerseys. February brought us the 1989 NBA All-Star game jersey (in which at the time, was celebrating its 25th year). Now, a day after the the 25th anniversary of Michael Jordan’s famous buzzer-beater over Craig Ehlo and the rest of the Cavaliers known simply as “The Shot”, the Philadelpha-based nostalgia company has released a short supply of a copy as close to the original as possible that Mike wore on the hardwood that fateful day in Cleveland. And even though Mike’s squad wouldn’t go on to win an NBA championship until two years later, this classic jersey is definitely worth a second look. Featuring a red away aesthetic, the back ‘Jordan’ name is stitched in all white (in contrast to the later versions that would match the rest of the lettering in black outlined in white). Hit the click for a better look and grab yours today via the NBA Store.
