By now, the lineage of the Air Jordan 6 has been set. It’s the sneaker MJ wore en route to his first NBA title over the Los Angeles Lakers in 1991, quieting all of the talk about his inability to take his Chicago Bulls team on his back and carry them to glory. In honor of that achievement (and the Air Jordan 6 celebrating its 23rd anniversary) Jordan Brand will releasing a special edition colorway in the Air Jordan 6 “Championship Cigar”. The shoe features a premium look thanks to a brown leather upper imitating the celebratory cigar while accents of gold, maroon and red hit on the midsole and tongue. Add in a special edition championship ring lace lock (not pictured here) and a crest featuring six stars for MJ’s championship total on the back heel and the shoe should definitely fly off shelves. While no release date is set just yet, hit the click for a better view and let us know what you think in the comments.
