The original Air Jordan XII “Flu Games” are going up for auction soon, sent there by the former Jazz ball boy Preston Truman who held onto them for the past fifteen plus years. Complex recently detailed the incident that landed the kid the pair of shoes, and as he told it – applesauce and graham crackers are the tools that helped him score one of the most famous pairs in the history of basketball, let alone the Jordan catalogue. The story can be traced back to the regular season that year, when MJ was looking for a can of applesauce and Preston went out of his way to grab a can just 45 minutes before opening tip. Whenever the Bulls returned to Salt Lake City, he made sure that graham crackers and applesauce was waiting in Michael’s locker and he was rewarded with the pair when he asked Jordan for them after the game. Check out the full article via Complex and stay tuned for how much this pair ends up selling for at auction.
